Sue Morley from Cae Post presents a cheque for £305.25 to Llanfechain WI for their part in distributing leaflets and recycling boxes to the residents living in Llanfechain. Sue thanked members on behalf of Cae Post committee and trustees. |

80th Birthday Celebration held on 15th November 2008

A wonderful day, with around 60 current and past members who were present to help Llanfechain W.I. celebrate their 80th Birthday. Two of our longest serving members, Vera Davies, who joined Llanfechain W.I. at the age of 21 in 1950 has been a member for 58 years, and Doreen Jones a member for 60 years. Doreen’s mother was previously a president of Llanfechain W.I. and held this post for a whopping 25 years. Vera and Doreen helped us to celebrate by cutting the cake and sharing with us their of Llanfechain W.I. Claire Newland, Federation Chairman, proposed the toast and our President Lynn Rowles |
